The basics to be eligible to apply for Braid Finance are:

  • 18 years of age
  • Have internet banking for the account your income is deposited into and access
  • Have regular consistent income going into a bank account for 6 months
  • Have at least 90 days of bank statements. This can be across different bank accounts.
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

It is free to apply with us. If you are not sure if you will meet our criteria, we encourage you to complete an application so we can look into your individual situation. We treat every application on its merits on a case by case basis. We understand that everyone’s situation is different. Loan applications are only accepted online.

The purpose of our application form is to get a better understanding of your financial position and credit history. 

Besides basic questions, we will ask you to submit a your bank statements, Medicare Card, Drivers License or Passport. 

We are required to identify you, which we do electronically using ID numbers, we need 100 points of ID to process your application.

Please have your identity documents such as a drivers licence handy.

On occasion we will need other supporting documentation which our loan specialists will request if needed.

We lend to people with a bad credit history, good credit history and no credit rating at all.

As responsible finace brokers, we do perform credit checks on eligible applicants. Credit checks will play a small role in our decision making. We focus more on your present financial position than your past financial position.

We will never perform a credit check without your express consent which you provide to us when you apply for a loan with us. We store your acknowledgement and consent for 7 years and it can be supplied on demand.

Applications can be submitted 24 hours a day via our website application form. Most applicants will get a call back within 24 to 48 hours. If anything further is required we will notify you on your call.

Our Slacks Creek Braid Finance Office hours are:

  • 8.30 am to 5.30 pm – Monday to Friday
  • 8.30 am to 2.00 pm – Saturday
  • CLOSED – Sunday

If you have applied outside of business hours, we will contact you when business hours resume on Monday or in the morning of a weekday.

 Approved applicants then have their cash in their bank account within minutes after signing their contract.

It means your employer pays for your car lease and car running costs out of your salary package. Ask your employer whether they offer Novated leases before settling for this option.

 

Loan repayments

Most lenders will require a monthly minimum repayment to cover your interest. This will also depend on the type of loan you have and arrangement with lender.
